MINUTES OF PARENTS’ MEETING
November 8, 1998
Organizational Meeting
Date: 11/8/98
Place: Marks’ Residence
Attending: Bob Bladow (charter rep.), Debbie Ballew,
Dave Ballew, Carolyn Balian, Alex Balian, Connie Brown, Carole Fischer, John
Luker, Sunny Marks, Paul Marks, Joyce Nussbaum, Karen Osterheldt, Dave Rozelle
and Robbyn Rozelle.
Mr.
Rozelle opened the organizational meeting and introduced Mr. Bladow as the
representative of the American Legion Post, which is our charter
organization. The charter organization
has paid the $20 fee for filing the charter form, which was filled out by Mr.
Bladow. Mr. Rozelle is the crew advisor.

OF PARENTS’ MEETING
DECEMBER
21, 1998
The
meeting was called to order by Dave Rozelle. Also
in attendance were Paul and Sunny Marks, Karen Osterheldt, Carol Fischer, Scottie
Hasttie,
Debbie Ballew, Gabe Nussbaum, and Kari Teeter.
The
Minutes from the last meeting were corrected---the cost is $25.00 for membership fee.
The Minutes were accepted as corrected.
Old
Business:
1.
Troop
forms still to be turned in…Sarah Wolf, Michelle Turitz, Mellissa Green, Madeline
Dickerson, Shana Rose, and Hallie Bodner.
2.
January
10th Crew Meeting—elections will be held, all members will be called by
the phone tree.
3.
Fishing
trip---bring $32.00 cash on the day of event, bring sack lunch or money to purchase lunch
on the boat, bring extra sets of hooks and 5# weights, bring Sea Band bracelets or
Chewable Dramamine for seasickness, all members over 16 years old need to purchase a
fishing license prior to the trip, and bring medical release forms.
New Business:

Election
of new officers….President, 2 Vice Presidents, Secretary, and Treasurer

Collect Membership fees of $25.00, checks may be made out
to Boy Scouts of America

Snowshoe
outing for Monday, January 18th
·
Winter
Camp weekend for February 13-15
Plan activities and training
A youth chairperson is needed for this activity
Carol Fischer will be the adult chairperson

Youth
Activity Positions---It was discussed that each activity should have a youth chair,
budget/financial, quartermaster, and transportation positions
·
The
next Venture Roundtable will be held on January 13, from 6:45 to 7:30, at the LDS Church
on Deserit and Valley Circle South—our crew
should be represented
·
Council
Venture Training will be held on February 27, location TBD
·
Dave
will present the new crew officers with Seminar information for the Nino JLT
