Ryan is the activity chairperson for the backpack, he's been the Death Valley  many times more than I have (zero times) and is a good choice.    His dad has also been there and has agreed to help us select a campsite, etc.

Activity Chairperson - Ryan B.

Will coordinate everything, arrange transportation, file the tour permit,
etc. Set cost, think of everything that everyone else has forgotten.

Food Sub-Committee - Cory F.(as grubmaster) w/ help from Danny R. (our gourmet chefs)

Creates menus, buys & packages food, creates lists of cooking pans etc and supplies to equipment sub committee
this is a desert backpack so try hard to make meals which don't need lots of water or much (if any) cleanup requiring water)

Equipment - Kyle L w/ help from Scottie H

make list of equipment needed (tents, stoves, fuel, water purifiers, etc.)   Line up equipment and make sure brought on backpack.
will require finding out what personal equipment can be counted on since  we're short of enough stuff as a crew.

Backpack Training - Brian B w/ help from Robbyn R

makes sure our new backpackers know how to have a good first experience.  bring backpack lists to meeting & explain what they'll need, where to buy, rent or borrow, how to pack, etc.  I suggest one of you bring a fully packed backpack to the meeting and demonstrate.  You need to stay in touch in the weeks before the backpack to answer any questions

Organization - Kym S. w/ help from Sarah W. - to assist treasurer Brian B.

Create a list of those going.  Make sure all get release slips and that slips are collected.   Collect money for trip.
