Activity Plan:
We will be taking the troops tents, plus a large tent for our
female crew members. If you have a good backpack tent bring it and let us know. If snow conditions permit we will be making snow
caves for those who wish to sleep in. Mr.
Rozelle will be bringing his tent trailer, which will be used as a warm-up area for those
who get too cold (it has a catalytic heater).
Objectives:
- Have Fun
- Keep Warm
- Learn how to keep
warm when winter camping/backpacking
Gear:
For those who have backpacks, bring them and pack as if you were
going on a backpack. Those without backpacks
bring your gear in a duffle. Everyone, bring
an extra duffle with extra dry clothes and an extra blanket to supplement your sleeping
bag.
An equipment checklist is attached. Please look it over carefully BEFORE the next crew
meeting so you can ask questions. Well
be discussing the campout in detail at the meeting.
